greetings,

i watched an installation guide on youtube, the guy there followed tony's installation guide.

my question is:
he has a nvidia 8400 graphics card by evga...
is a nvidia 8400 graphics card by, lets say, club 3d, sparkle or msi as likely to be compatible as the one by evga he has?

(besides that iam going for
intel core i7 860,
sata hdd and drive,
4gb corsair xms3 ddr3 ram,
a gigabyte board from the dsdt list)

thank you very much

Shouldn't be any problem. The branding of the card only depends on who's RAM, cooler, and casing are being used. But in the end the actual chipset will be manufactured by NVidia.

May I recommend 4 GB of G.Skill Eco series RAM as a replacement? Here it is:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231320
It runs at a lower voltage, meaning more power saved, less heat created in your case, and is faster with a cas latency of only 7. It may even be cheaper than your current RAM!

thank you very much

Glad to help. :D
