No wired audio and Magic Muse sluggish and not supporting gestures on GA-Z97MX Gaming 5

My build is working well except for two minor problems:
1. Wired audio does not work. Since bluetooth audio works, this is not a problem.
2. The Magic Mouse is sluggish and does not respond to gestured. (USB and wired mouse usually works).

My bluetooth dongle is plugable mac driver is a[h=1]Plugable USB Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy Micro Adapter.[/h]
it supports audio and the keyboard very well.

What can I do to get gestures to work on the Magic Mouse?
Different dongle? Install a driver?

any suggestions would be appreciated.

Progress

Moved bluetooth dongle to a USB2 port. Mouse works much better now. Still no wired audio though.

Also Lightroom is sluggish or hangs. This may not be a Mackintosh problem,
