Hello everyone and greetings from Germany,

My parents are on vacation and so I had the luck to borrow my fathers macbook. And I need to say wow.
This operating system is much better and much less frustrating than windows.
I was about to order new hardware for a gaming pc, when I remembered, that I once read something about this page here.
Now I got a question: The page https://www.tonymacx86.com/buyersguide/building-a-customac-hackintosh-the-ultimate-buyers-guide/ shows any compatible, tested hardware, as I read. Now I want to know, if I need to look if for example CPU X is only compatible with mainboard Y or if all the listed components work the same good together.
I want to buy the following:

- i5 8600k
- Sapphire 8GB RX 580
- 16gb Crucial Ballistik Sport LT 2400
- 970 EVO 250GB
- Z390I Gigabyte

My brains tells me that power supply, case and CPU Cooler should be choosable freely, because it wouldn't make sense if not.
But I chose the RM650x, as also mentioned in the list from the link above.

So, should this system work, if I follow each step in the Install Guide?
I know there is not a 100% guarantee, but I really want to try!

Thanks a lot!

Go got the 500gb evo as the price increase is not that much compared to last year (at least in the UK). Your cooler selection is important if you intend to overclock as well as your case selection.
