My new customac x58

Just want to thank Tonymac, Macman you guys rock! I'm going to build my second customac and this is my specs. Hopefully this should work based on my research here at the forum. But i'm little worried about the Graphics card, because all i see most people use is ATI HD 5770 which is i have also on my system. Any suggestion will be appreciated.


GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R ATX Intel Motherboard
Intel Core i7-950 3.06GHz LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor
CORSAIR Vengeance 12GB (3 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
XFX Radeon HD 5850 HD-585X-ZAFC- Is this gonna work?

Hello

I make a hackintosh ( 10.6.5 ) with the same motherboard as you X58A-UDR3T v2.0 and a Gigabyte GV-N450-1GI video card.
It's working really well.
I use it with Avid ( professionnal video editing ), no problem, double screen HD en DVI.
If you follow the avid recomendation, they tell you to use video card who are 4x the price. I don't see the difference.
