Hello all,

After a few months of lurking on this forum, I found a working MacPro in a second hand shop: it was time to finally start my very own hackintosh! I already teared down everything inside the case:

Since it's my first time building a computer, and I don't need ultra high specs (I'm using my laptop for some video and photo editing, no gaming), I'm planning on following the example of Balasz631. So basically, I'm planning on buying the following:

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z370M-D3H
Processor: Intel Core i5-8600K
Processor Cooler: Thermalright Le Grand Macho
RAM: Corsair DDR4 3000MHz Vengeance LPX CL15 (4x8GB)
Graphics Card: Gigabyte RX 570 Gaming 4GB
WiFi/Bluetooth: Apple BCM94360CD 802.11ac Wifi + Bluetooth 4.0
Power Supply: Corsair RM-750x
Fans: 2x Arctic P8 PWM PST CO (for GPU), 1x Arctic P12 PWM PST CO (for CPU)

I was wondering if you have any feedback already on this list? I will post updates on the build progress

Everyone here loves a good G5 Hackintosh!, I myself put two together. I purchased a Gigabyte H370M-D3H and paired it with a i5-8500, it was awesome. The one thing you really need to consider is cooling!, it will get hot inside that case especially around the PCIe slots. You planning on using Opencore or Clover?.
