Summary:
No sound upon reboot due to lack of devices. Running Multibeast 7.3 corrects this.
Details:
System is Gigabyte GA-G41M-ES2L Rev 1.1, user DSDT.
Audio choice is Realtek ALC888b (Legacy).
Updated system to 10.10.4, rebooted, ran Multibeast 7.4, rebooted. No audio devices present.
Ran Multibeast 7.4 a second time with reboot, just to be sure. Still no Audio Devices present.
Looked at System/Library/Extensions, AppleHDA.kext
Show Package contents. Compared current contents with my backup copy on alternate boot disk, noticed that current contents were smaller in size (1.3MB versus 3.2). Noticed that Plugins folder was empty in current contents, but had kexts in backup copy.
Corrective workaround:
Ran Multibeast 7.3, with Realtek ALC888b (Legacy) driver update.
After reboot, sound devices all present (especially critically needed "Internal Speakers")
Happy to debug further with your assistance. I am a very happy and grateful Multibeast user since ancient times.
