Trying to complete my update from Lion to Mavericks using Multibeast 6.0, but for some reason it's not working. My board is an older GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 with an i5 processor. The only difference between my Lion install and now is that I have added an MSI Nvidia 650 TI Boost (something I did not have installed before).

My upgrade to 10.9 with unibeast, went well. My only issue was that I had to run in Safe Mode with the usb dongle in. The first time, Multibeast worked, but I could not run Mav without the unibeast dongle. So I tried again and this time Multibeast failed to install. I reinstalled Mav and ran Multibeast still not go.

Searching everywhere, but no one appears to be experiencing this. Here is the log:

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Did you choose User DSDT and then point to the DSDT in /Extra for the DSDT to copy? If so that is why it's failing. The source DSDT must NOT be on the target volume as MultiBeast deletes /Extra/DSDT.aml on the target volume before it copies a new DSDT.

In addition for the other errors, can you post the Install.log from that MultiBeast run?

Hey Macman

Thanks for the follow up. I got impatient and decided to do a fresh install instead of an upgrade. Its a more painful solution, but things went flawlessly when using Multibeast after I did.

One question I do have, not sure this is the right place for it, but the usb 3.0 ports work right out of the box. After running multibeast I loose usb 3.0 support. Is there a way to prevent Multibeast from deleting the usb kexts?

eric

im getting the same issue.
it doesn't want to install ANYTHING. not even if i select one item.
i've moved my DSDT.aml and everything in Extras, still the same crap being written to the log file.

not sure what is causing this.

rebooted, reinstalled multibeast, moved files, rebooted again, still same....

it is surely a bug in multibeast 6.0.

fresh install is not a proper solution for something that used to work so well before.

If you are having issues start your own thread and provide the data as documented here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/multibeast-bug-reports/112733-multibeast-6-failure-reporting.html

I deleted SuperIOFamily .kext and it installed fine. When I installed Mavericks I transferred from Lion during the initial install. Just a thought because I saw that people were having success after a wipe and clean install. I hope this helps someone else.
