MSI HydroGen GTX285 graphics card in 10.6

Hello,

I'm slightly new to the osx86 community, but successfully installed 10.6 on an MSI Eclipse X58 motherboard, with an i7 950...

Graphics work, and the res is good and so on... but QE is not enabled, and Core Image is rendering in software. I wondered if anyone knew how to enable hardware acceleration for my card, it's a MSI nGTX285...

I've tried quite a lot... if anyone has a definitive walkthrough, I'd love to see it!

Hmm- doesn't work with NVenabler or Graphicsenabler=Yes? Have you tried DSDT edits? Or EFI Strings?

Another thing to do would be to search 285 here:

Or search the forum- I've set the search to pretty much return results from any keyword- even 285.

Hi Tony,

Thanks for the reply - I've managed to get it working - 10.6.1, everything's golden

I'm a happy boy right now, but I think I'll do a time machine backup so I can get back to this point easily!

I'm going to try and get it going without the cpus=1 busratio=20 flag, patching the DSDT again etc

Then upgrade to 10.6.3...

I have a feeling I'll be back for more help soon!
