Hi all... long time reader, and finally ready to start a build! :)

I am basically planning an mATX build based on tony's "Budget Power Build 1
CustoMac" only with a different case. With the GA-P55M-UD4 availability
becoming a problem, I was wondering if there is a new "go-to" mATX board
that I would be able to put in and get running without a lot of hassle?

Additionally, I notice that tony's build features the quite large Gigabyte Silent
Cell card - is this an OK fit for a mATX case? I may also try to go with a version
of a 5770 to get the latest graphics that the iMacs have. Would those fit also?
This is the case I would like to use: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications ... u=ULT40278

My ultimate goal is to have a build that is small in footprint but powerful in
processing/graphics and some relative quietness would be nice too!

Any info you have would be great and thanks for the support.

Hello all

Tony thank you for having created this site which is great to read and provides
much aid.

I am a girl from France and I too will buy this card
Mother, I really want to buy a graphics card that will be powerful
Diablo 3.
What can I buy a Geforce 9800GT or ATI 5770.
Is the Ati 5770 works well on hackintosh?

For the processor I'll take Intel Core i7 860.
Will there be any problems with the DSDT.aml you propose
download.

Thank you all.

ps: Please excuse me for my english is not too good.

Check the compatibility list here: wiki/index.php?title=IBoot_%2B_MultiBeast_Confirmed_Desktops#Gigabyte

As long as you don't plan on overclocking, the GA-P55M-UD2 is also a sweet board...

Note that the IDE on GA-P55A-UD3 is still unsupported so you might want to avoid it.

I'm using it in an Antec Designer 500 without issues.

This case seems OK to me, as the HDD cage is not in front of the PCIe Slots, so you'll have lots of space for the card.
It's also nice that the front Fan will be pushing air directly onto the fins of the Silent Cell !

Sabrina Salut,

Bonne chance !

Hi Sabrina,
Welcome to the forum.
If you can find the P55M-UD4, it's very recommended.
With the 9800GT, it's a piece of cake.
The 5770 is more powerful, but too knew to know how it will work, but apparently some people got it working.
I doubt it will be as silent as the 9800 Silent Cell.

The F9 DSDT works without issues!
It's BIOS version F10 that caused problems, but I believe it's temporary.

Good Luck !
