Making the change to Clover

I have a hack working using Chimera but want to change to Clover. My hack has a normal bios not uefi.
I have read some articles on it but it is all way above me.
I have installed Clover to a usb stick and can boot to the selection screen but no further as expected.
In simple English terms what do I need to do next?
Do I need to copy any kexts to the usb stick?
Do I need to copy my smbios and dsdt to the usb stick?
Any help would be appreciated.

u dont need to copy kext to clover.
u need to copy dsdt.aml to acpi/patched
u need to configure config.plist and remove dsdt fixes from it for start.

I put my dsdt where you said and replaced the config.plist with my smbios.plist then renamed it and it booted up straight away.
I am now able to update the apps I was unable to with Chimera
