I have a ProBook 4530s with dual boot set up for Windows 10 and Mavericks. I just migrated from Chimera to Clover booting with v3577.
CPU: i7-2760 (aftermarket upgrade)
WIFI: Atheros 9285
As part of the migration, I ran the "ProBook Installer Clover Edition" which placed a number of kexts in 2 different locations:
Location 1. EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.9/
Location 2. S/L/E
FakeSMC
Realtek8111
ACPIBatteryManager
ACPIPoller
FakePCIID_BroadcomWIFI
IntelBacklight
IOath3kfrmwr
ProBookAtheros
VoodooPS2Controller
Currently, in config.plist, "Inject kexts" = Detect
As things are now, it seems to me that the kexts in the EFI partition are ignored at boot. In reality, the kexts in S/L/E and the kextcache are used at boot.
What should I do now:
1. Leave everything as it is now
2. Remove all kexts from EFI partition
3. Remove all kexts from EFI partition except FakeSMC
4. Remove kexts from S/L/E and set "Inject kexts" = Yes
