Issues with wireless and thunderbolt ports

Just completed my first build i am a total novice. The build consists of a Gigabyte Z77x-UP5TH, Intel i7, 2x 256gb crucial solid state drives 16gb ram 2x 3tb sata 3 HD. Successfully loaded Yeosemite as one of the operating systems. The blue tooth works but the wireless will not and the Thunderbolt sockets do not work. Can anyone offer some suggestions. It wI'll be a couple of weeks till I can try suggestions.

Thunderbolt ports do work on that motherboard, problem is hot swapping doesn't. You need to boot your computer with the Thunderbolt device already connected and powered. Make sure BIOS is set correctly for Thunderbolt setting.

The WIFI card is not compatible, you'll need another option.
