is hackintosh as reiable as mac pro?

hi i am thinking about building a hackintosh but i wondered people who have built hackintosh does is still work good?
does it offer better performance than pc with same specs? (i know the whole point of building hackintosh is to use mac osx but still i need to know)

also will this built be reiable?

Intel Core I7-4790 Haswell 3.6GHz

intel HD graphics

16 gb of RAM

3*Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB 7200 SATA 6Gb/s HDD

is there any problems i might encounter in the installing process or after it?

i need this for music production

There are so many parameters and variables involved, starting from hardware components and ending on operating system settings. You can't tell at first if your build will function since the first power up or if you'll have to sweat blood to make it running.
You can learn from other's experience and see what works and what doesn't.
This is a great forum where people help each other, but no one has a crystal ball.
