ir idea but need help

Hello i purchased this MacBook Pro 15.4" 922-7195 ir receiver http://www.powerbookmedic.com/MacBook-Pro-Infrared-board-p-18041.html and this http://www.soundgraph.com/inside-installation-en/.
I know that i need to solder the mac ir receiver but is it not possible that i replace or do somthing else to get it on the imon built in ir, so that mine ir remote can shut down the pc completly and start it up so as a normal htpc does.
If you have good suggestions i will try it when it is arrived.
But please don,t forget iam not an elictrician and iam not english, so if any have a good idea please write it in english for the stupid.

I also have this imon remote and would like to get it to work with the Mac hack. I also order the MBP or receiver. Let me know if you get somewhere as I will do the same.
