Internal screen black if external hdmi unplugged

Asus laptop X55C with HM76 chipset and HD3000 IGPU. Internal screen works only if HDMI screen is plugged in.
If not then it won't turn on at all, in IOREG I can see if I unplug HDMI also the Internal is unplugged and viceversa.
I am attaching EFI with ACPI origin and patched + ioreg dump.

I should add that bios is MSR unlocked hence I got native powermanagement.

I read reports on some indian forums of people being able to install Sierra on this laptop but not High Sierra. Are the drivers for HD3000 in Sierra different at all?

edit. nope, just tried with a sierra usb installer and same thing happens.
