Imac up the spout

Hi, I done a stupid thing on my 27" mac, I wipe everything off it trying to put windows 7 back on it. I tried to do a internet recovery and its gives me a -2002f error and hangs... I purchased Snow leopard OS X 10.6 and tried to reinstall it "Just like I would do with Windows" but all it does is bring up the apple logo and beeps at me..... What am I doing wrong... Thanks
