I built my own OpenCore based setup and I get to here:
03:858 00:345 OC: Driver HfsPlus.efi at 0 (HfsPlus.efi) is being loaded...
03:882 00:024 OCABC: EfiBootRt candidate - <nil>
03:904 00:021 OCABC: IsEfiBootRt 0 (BP 1, Apple 0)
03:924 00:020 OCB: Arch filtering 0(37892)->76F0E018(37892) caps 4 - Success
and it locks up.
I tried clover and booting a real OSX install usb I created with createmedia(i have a imac also)
I sometimes get : applekeystore::start _sep_enabled and it stops with newest version of opencore.
I also tried to use gibmac to build the disk. It shows the apple logo and stops.
I tried https://github.com/ouhoukyo/HP-Chromebox-Hackintosh and it doesn't boot.
If I force verbose I get the attached log
I know it is old and slow(celeron) but I am just trying this for fun....and it is starting to become not fun.
Any ideas if this is possible?

I have tried unibeast and it wouldnt get to the installer on boot for OSXI built my own OpenCore based setup and I get to here:
