Hi,

I got a new HP 450 G0 and I am looking for a Full HD LCD replacement. Anyone done it? Do I need a cable also?

Hi,

It is not known yet. You potentially need two things:
- a compatible 1080p screen
- a different cable

In the past this was discovered by disassembling one of the 17" laptops (eg. 4730s) with a 1600x900 screen to determine the cable that was necessary. So, you'd have to find someone with a 470 G1 that is willing to take it apart. Or do some searching on HP.com for 470 G1 parts vs. 450 G1 parts to see if you can determine if a different cable is necessary.

Found 3 compatible screens, but unfortunately no cable. I have to stick with the stock screen for now.

Upgraded mine Probook 450 G0

Bought flex for 470 and panel LP156WF4-SLB3

Took me about 15 minutes to dissassemble laptop and assemble with new panel.

First start both Windows and MacOS failed, Win 10 successfully booted from second try, prepared pendrive with clover and after successful booting to Capitan rerun PBI-CE to mark that now I have High-res display.

Pros: like new lcd very much, way different feeling if you start using 1920*1080 IPS instead of 1366*768 TN

Cons: Video chip is pretty warm, I can feel it with hands on palmrest

Hi. I have Probook 450 G0 with broken screen. I want to change my faulty 1366x768 resolution display with 1600x900. Where did you bought your lcd and what is the ID/name of cable and lcd that I need. I dont have much experiance with displays and there compatibility.
