How does one speed up genie effect and other window dressings. opening folders and such.

DSDT?

Kext?

Or other system settings?

Just a bit of feedback, even if it is bad news, it's still a response.

I tried searching how to speed up OS X animation on both Google and Bing, but neither says any way to make the genie effect or anything else faster. I only got posts on how to speed up OS X performance and that switching from the genie effect to the scale effect will make OS X faster. Sorry I couldn't help more than that

Just switch to the scale effect. Or use command-tab instead of minimizing windows. I hardly ever minimize anything unless I'm in Windows. Also, Expose's "show desktop" is your friend; I have it mapped to F19 on my apple keyboard (I miss the old F9-11 keymapping).

If you really want to slow it down, hold the "shift" key while doing it.

I thought that was a Windows effect? And I think rabbit wants to speed it up.
