How do I enable Dual Displays?

I have a Radeon 4870 with two DVI ports. I have two monitors connected, one 1920x1200 and the other is 1024x768. I can't get Snow Leopard to even detect my second display. Any ideas?

one thing you can try is using a dvi to vga converter on the second display. this has been known to work for some cards.

I've read that this is an issue with ATI cards, my Nvidia card just works...
