Hi there. Please bear with me, I'm a novice at this.
I built my first hackintosh about three years ago, using High Sierra. It's run more or less fine until this past week. I noticed that a couple of my external drives had failed to mount the last time I booted up, so I rebooted and now the boot process hangs. I can select the install from the Clover bootloader, but then I end up in an infinite black screen with the loading icon. My Windows install, on a separate internal drive, runs fine.
I've booted up from my old install USB and run Disk Utility. It says the High Sierra volume is fine, though it does return a couple dozen "warnings" having to do with inode_val: object. I have no idea what that means. Interestingly, the install USB does not detect my external storage drive or my external Time Machine backup, but the machine's BIOS does.
I have no idea where to go from here. Any and all suggestions appreciated.
