So my hackintosh has been working great for over a year now...no issues for the most part. The config I have is in my sig. I just experienced a power outage and the system hangs at the apple logo screen with the spinning dial. I booted with verbose and the line it hangs at is system uptime in nanoseconds xxxxx.

Does anybody know why this would happen all of sudden...obviously it has something to do with the power outage but does it mean a component died or what. Is this a fixable problem? Thanks in advance.

Okay UPDATE:

I can no longer even get to the bootloader. The bios just hangs at a blank screen with '\' blinking. Please help:cry:

Okay I gave up trying to fix it. Something screwy definitely happened during the power surge. I ended up reinstalling OSX which only took about 20 minutes. Given that I have my OS and files separated on an SSD and HDD it is even easier to do a refresh.
