Have you checked to make sure that the USB port you are using for the Dongle is active/configured to work in macOS?

If not, have a read of this post by UtterDisbelief - https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/the-new-beginners-guide-to-usb-port-configuration.286553/

It is a Ralink mini WiFi dongle. Ralink wifi adapters are not usually supported in macOS.

The driver package available on the Live-Tech support page, for the mini wifi dongle says it will work in OSX 10.11 (El Capitan) there are no newer drivers for any of the more recent versions of macOS, not for the mini wifi dongle.
