My only concern, no firewire. Ill just get a firewire card later on.

May as well spend the extra $20 now and go with the UD3R model to have that firewire working OOB than take a chance on add in card later and I would write them and ask for a price match for what they are selling that video card in Canada for. I have been thinking of getting the same card but had concerns about it being no-reference design thus not working until I read a post by someone on this site who had it going with the GraphicsEnabler Yes options with ATI Experimental boot loader. It may just be me but I would spend a little more on the power supply something in the 650-750w, single rail ~40-50a on the 12v, Active PFC, 80% plus certified from a company like Corsair, Seasonic, Antec... Perhaps this one.

So the mobo i chose wont work oob. I dont mind throwin in the extra bucks just hope i end up having enough. We will see i guess. Why wont it work oob?

Also as far as a card goes maybe i should just stick with a 240 gt. Its cheaper, would let me get the new mobo with firewire and the PSU you reccomended. And the only games i will ever be playing will be Counter Strike and Garrys mod.

EDIT: Ok so here is the revisions you reccomended.

That motherboard will work I was just thinking if you want firewire no sense not getting it included in the motherboard when it is only $20 more (same as add in card later) as the TI chipset included in these Gigabyte boards work OOB with OS X, I did not mean the motherboard itself. As to the video card you now have chosen just make sure it will work with OS X while still staying in the money you can afford to spend.
