Genesys Logic USB 3.0 card reader issues

I've done a massive amount of digging around this but I'm at a loss so seeking help.

I have a Benq BL3200 monitor which has a Genesys Logic, Inc. USB 3.0 card reader on it. I have mapped all my USB port very successfully and my build is working perfectly apart from one issue. When I first boot my hack that Genesys card reader is running USB 2.0, if I unplug the USB cable to the monitor and plug it back in again in comes up as USB 3.0 and works at full speed.

How can I get that device to come up on USB 3.0 at startup?

Would you mind letting me know how you got the reader working? I've got one on my laptop, and struggling to find the info on how to enable it.

It just worked in my installation. Only USB 2 though, unless I unplug it and plug it back in again. Only then does do USB 3.
