[Solved] GA-EP35-DS4 or DS3 working with Sierra?

Hello all,

I have 2 old builds, currently working very well on 10.9.0

GA-EP35-DS4 + 6 GB Ram + SSD + Quad core + nVidia 210EN
GA-EP35-DS3 + 4 GB Ram + SSD + C2Duo + nVidia 210EN

These builds have 8 years old but they are working almost 99% with DSDT, (sleep, gfx, audio, etc...). This is not 100% because if I update to 10.9.5 for example, I can lost USB or Audio, so I am still at 10.9.0 very happy.

I am not sure to make this big step or not. I don't have Clover at this moment. Not sure if can I do it.

Do you know if this would work?
Could I ask you for your opinion?

If you're planning on updating to 10.12 then id recommend using iMac 10,1 System definition. Loosing Audio is common after updating when using Chimera/Chameleon. (Clover Audio Injection) is better way of not using Audio after updates.

Thanks!!! I just have made it! I am SIERRA with ethernet, but I am missing Audio... Could you please point me where can I found info for Realtek ALC889A and SIERRA?

Thanks a lot. I have now a 100% working hack... This kexts installation is awesome! At my DS3 mb manuals it says ALC889 but it detected ALC885 and I have accepted it and it works perfect!

@raultaboraz I am also about to refresh an old build - P35-DS4 Rev2.1 and wondered did you use a DSDT or not and what options you needed to select in Clover

I'm planning to refresh my old build too. I have GA-EP35-DS3 mobo with Xeon E5450.
Currently I'm stuck with boot Clover. Maximum what I got is gray window with text menu. And "Continue" does nothing. Boot device list shows empty list. Old boot CD booting fine, but can't see macosx distribution on flash drive. It's pretty old bootloader, I used it years ago to install 10.6 onto this rig.

Update: Clover v.2976 fixed my issue. The only version that works for me. At least I can see Clover menu now.
