Specs:
OSX version 10.13.4
Hardware:
MB: Gigabyte z370 Gaming Aorus 7
RAM: 64 gb Corsair Vengeance 3300 mhz DDR4 CL16
CPU: 5.0 ghz (OC) intel i7 8700k (delidded)
STORAGE: 1tb 850 evo SSD
GPU: MSI 1080 ti gaming X
PSU: Corsair RM850X White 850W
THUNDERBOLT 3: Alpine ridge card
Bluetooth and Wifi: Broadcom PCI-e card (only 38$ !)
Monitor: Thunderbolt display 27" 2560x1440
(Monitor is connected through Nvidia gpu > Displayport > Alpine ridge card > TB3 to TB2)
First sketches:
Overkill fan edition:
The back looks a bit homemade,
but i'm waiting for full-height usb and HDMI brackets in the mail,
also the aux sound is supposed to come from one of these:
But two of them didn't work as they should have, plus i found that having longer extender cables (being able to drag out 1 meter cable) is really practical sometimes.
thunderbolt 3 was supposed to come out of an extender cable, but i seem to have lost that, plus i needed a thunderbolt 3 - 2 adapter anyways, so it wouldn't be able to look snug in there with that bulky thing..
I spent so much time trying to figure out how i would do the backside, but then in the end i don't really pay much attention to it, so i'm probably just gonna get a usb-c hub to have on my desk for convenience anyways.
The AC cable is an original iMac cable, with an extender cable on the inside to reach the powersupply.
And here is my bootscreen (work in progress):
