"FireWire GUID 0000000000000000 is invalid!" console error?

Same board, same error. I'm getting random freezes and I can't quite figure out what causes it. Freezes aren't frequent and sometimes I'll go a full day without one but I generally average one a day.

I just disabled 1394 in the bios and I've only experienced one freeze since and I'm not sure what caused it. I've now gone several days without a freeze.

different board, some error.
I'm on GA-Z68XP-UD5 rev1.0, bios v: ua1
I've tried disabling the 1394 controller in BIOS, but this turned out helpless to me.
Any bright ideas here? thanks.
