I think it means he might want to search for a list of all the finder hot-keys and functions available to him and he would be a lot happier I think.

I mean, Cmd+X (cut), Cmd+V (paste) does not exsist in Finder.. but I'm over it..

Here's a page I had bookmarked on the mini for use in Leopard - don't know if all of it transfers over to SL, probably most if not all - you might bookmark it for reference anyway.

Well, they work for me in applications as well as the Finder (for text and files).

Not sure exactly what your issue is preventing their use...

Cmd+V does actually work.

Going Bald, the good news is that they've updated the Keyboard Shortcut list for Snow Leopard:
