just Created USB With Clover using this guide

1) Top Menu->Save & Exit Setup
.....................Load Optimized Saving

2) Top Menu->BIOS Features
.....................VT-d = Disabled
.....................Execute Disable Bit = Disabled
.....................Intel Virtualization = Enabled

3) Top Menu->Peripheral
.....................Initial Display Output =PCIe 1 Slot
.....................Intel Processor Graphics= Enabled
.....................Intel Processor Graphics= 64M

whenever i try to boot from clover it show apple logo then my machine just gt restarted
may be m missing some boot flags

when m trying to boot with dart=0 -v
it shows OsxAptioDrvFix: starting overrides for system\library\coreservices\boot.efi
using relock block : no, hibernate wake : no
then few second gt restarts

How did you get the sound working???? I had to completely start over. The directions they have on here are ridiculously confusing

Where you able to resolve this? Interestingly enough when I enable Execute Disable Bit El Capitan installer starts loading and I am able to get quite ahead until I hit a CPUPowerMangement error. However when I disable Execute Disable Bit I get the same boot loop you are getting. If you figured out how to get out of it I would certainly appreciate the tip.

Hello guys,

i have the same configuration, fresh new installation and followed the guide for El capitan with the recommended BIOS settings but ...


During the installation i'm using:
GA-Z97X-UD3H F7 bios update
i7-4790k with HD4600
1x 8GB crucial ballistix tactical
monitor with VGA cable


Loaded optimized configuration
- if Vt-d is DISABLED i can see the apple logo but without the loading bar and after few seconds it reboot
- if Vt-d is ENABLED i can see the apple logo and the loading bur but at half the USB drive stop to work (no led writing/reading) and it get stack for several minutes without any progress

I tryed to change the position of the ram into other slots.
I tryed to put USB drive into different USB2/USB3 ports

When I create the USB drive with Unibeast i choosed UEFI boot mode and when asked to choose the injection (HD3000, ATI, NVIDIA) i didn't selected anyone cause i have an i7 4790k with HD4600 graphic and then I will use a EVGA GT 740SC gddr5.

Normally you want VT-d disabled. If you have a boot problem that way, you should boot verbose (space bar from the Clover menu) and post a photo of the screen where it stops or just before it reboots.

Somehow reinstalling OSX while using the HDMI cable on my 740SC resulted in a working system, woo hoo!
Probably not gonna try the update today, ha ha

Hi my7ways, I'm trying to build my hackinstosh with this exact configuration. I ran into the same problem you were facing. I just bought an HDMI cable to reinstall from scratch but I wonder when did you put the GT740 on the mobo ? Thanks for your help !

What version are you lot running on and should I update it before I crack on with the install.

Mine was F4 and I didn't update it. Try with F6 first and if really nothing works as expected then update it.
