Dual boot problems

Hello, I have a problem with the dual boot, and I installed high sierra on an external hard drive and then I used clover boot manager for the dual boot issue, so far everything is perfect, I turn on the computer and when I get the dual boot menu I do not see the option to start macOS, only the windows options appear.

Did you turn on the External Drive BEFORE you turn on the computer?

If you do it in the reverse order, the computer may not be able to detect the external drive at boot.
