Well, I just updated my 10.7.3 Lion install on my GA-Z68MX-UD2H-B3 with 2600K to Multibeast 4.3.1. Everything seemed to go smoothly and the system works fine but I have a annoyance with the new Chimera.

It still works and allows me to select what I want to boot which is Windows 7 or Lion but when my computer boots up, it Posts and then gets to Chimera as soon as I press a key to stop the autoomatic countdown for Lion to load, Chimera just turns to black screen. I cannot see anything. At first I thought it would stay like this but if I simply press the down arrow on the keyboard, the screen shows up again with the boot menu/options. I've edited the plist of Chimera to use my native 1920x1080 resolution if that matters and changed the countdown to 10 seconds.

Now, I am wondering if anyone could help me fix that minor black screen annoyance. Although it can be used to confuse others of how to turn on my computer, I would rather have the blackscreen gona haha. :lol:

lets see your /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist file. I'm thinking you didn't type in your kernel flag correctly for your monitor. But, it could be another typo, too.

Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">
<dict>
	<key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
	<string>Yes</string>
	<key>GenerateCStates</key>
	<string>Yes</string>
	<key>GeneratePStates</key>
	<string>Yes</string>
	<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
	<string>No</string>
	<key>Kernel</key>
	<string>mach_kernel</string>
	<key>Kernel Flags</key>
	<string>npci=0x3000 darkwake=0</string>
	<key>Legacy Logo</key>
	<string>Yes</string>
	<key>Timeout</key>
	<string>10</string>
	<key>UseKernelCache</key>
	<string>Yes</string>
	<key>Graphics Mode</key>
	<string>1920x1080x32</string>
</dict>
</plist>

Here, you go Stork! Thanks for the reply. Also, just wondering to remove the legacy logo I can just switch the string to "No" right? I prefer the newer one. Not sure if it matters past comestics.

Hmmm no reply yet. Well just for an update, I updated to 1.9.0 Chimera and it still black screens on me just like 1.8.0.
