Check if Graphics Acceleration is active ?

Hello

I have a Geforce GT 230 on my computer and it works.
Now the thing is that I want to check if it is actually working on its full capacities.

Watch it on full. Can you tell me if you see anything weird ? Like the characters for exemple. They are a bit "pixelised". If you take a look at clock on the upper right side, you can see that its shape is not squared. I know it's details, but if there is a fix to this I just want to do it .

I see a perfectly normal OSX screen. If you're used to Windows, it can be a bit strange at first because OSX uses different font smoothing. Fonts will look a bit different. But that's normal and will take time to get used to.

EDIT: If you want to test if all is running as it should, start Chess, start Dashboard and add a widget (do you see the ripple effect?).

i had the same issue with the text as you. used the method in that link and its much better now.

I followed samisnake link and it is wokring quite well right now !

Apparently,

defaults -currentHost write -g AppleFontSmoothing -int 2

is not enough for my screen so I set it to one and it looks fantastic right now !

The only thing is that it won't show small fonts really correctly (<9pt), but all in all it's better like this.
