Can driver updates break my hackintosh?

I boot to windows when playing games and was prompted just now to update my graphics driver. I have an AMD Radeon RX 580, I thought I had it set to automatically update but I guess not because I am running version 22.20.27.09 while the current driver is Adrenalin 23.9.2.

Can I safely update the driver without breaking my hackintosh?

Updating graphics drivers on Windows should not affect other operating systems on your computer, so if I were you I would let it proceed or update it myself.

If you are so worried, how about temporarily disconnecting your MacOS drive (while powered off of course) before booting into Windows and updating the drivers?
