Bootscreen Keyboard issue

I have an intermittent problem with my chimera.

It seems that sometimes it just doesn't want to recognize my keyboard so i have trouble changing between Lion and Win7
However, switching the usb port and a reboot solves it for a reboot or 2 then it plays up again.

I'm constantly on the floor changing the usb port.

Any advice for this?

Using the latest chimera.

Thanks for the generous amounts of help people

However, the problem seemed to fix itself after applying a skin "Boot into Lion" to chimera.

Hope this helps others in a similar situation.
