Would appreciate anyone’s input on the build I’m about ready to purchase.

MB: ASUS ProArt-Creator 10G

CPU: Intel Core i7-11700K with future plans to upgrade to i9-10900K

CPU Fan: CORSAIR A500 High Performance Dual Fan CPU Cooler, CT-9010003-WW

GPU: Sonnet AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT (already own this, in an eGPU connected to my MBPro)

RAM: X2 Kingston FURY Beast 32GB DDR4 3200MHz DIMM Memory Module KF432C16BB/32

OS SSD: SAMSUNG 990 PRO M.2 2280 2TB PCI-Express Gen 4.0 x4, NVMe 2.0 V7 V-NAND 3bit MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-V9P2T0B/AM

Storage SSD: SAMSUNG 870 EVO Series 2.5" 2TB SATA III V-NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-77E2T0B/AM

WiFi: Fenvi FV-T919

I have a few questions:

1. I don’t see the RAM listed on the Buyer’s Guide, and I can’t seem to find any Ballistix 32GB. Am I good here?

2. Same question above on CPU coolers.

3. Do you think this will be a fairly problem-free build? I was considering the Z590 MB but couldn’t find much of recent support for it.

Appreciate your help!

Any CPU which fits in the case and any RAM which works with the board are fine.
A WD SN850(X) would be a safer choice for a NVMe drive than a Samsung. The 980 has issues with macOS; I don't know about the 990.
10th gen. and 400 series are last supported generation. Stay with Z490 and look hard for a i9-10850K/10900K right now; this will save you trouble—and money.

Ok, looks like I can get a good deal on the 10850K. I’ll switch to the WD SSD as well.

Oh I just realized that on the Asus motherboard, it does not have PCIE 4.0, so I will not be cashing in on my 6900 XT’s full power.

Any recommendations on a motherboard that has these specs:

Z490
LGA 1200
PCIE 4.0

You don't lose that much performance running it in a PCIe 3.0 x16 slot. It's not enough of a difference to bother switching motherboards for. Tech Power Up site tested an RTX 4090 which is more powerful than a 6900XT, in a PCIe 3.0 x16 slot. This is what they concluded.

"Raptor Lake" PC builders can breathe a huge sigh of relief—we're happy to report that the GeForce RTX 4090 loses a negligible, inconsequential amount of performance in PCI-Express 3.0 x16 (Gen 4 x8-comparable) mode.
