Hi,

Well I decided to build a hackintosh because I missed my mac a little, and I've ran into the famous "An Unknown Error Has Occurred" while trying to sign in to the App Store. I have seriously pretty much tried everything that has been posting in every forum for the past few weeks, trying to avoid having to go for help, but at this point, I am at my mercy because IOBuiltin always ends up being false. Here is my NetworkInterfaces plist

<key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>

<dict>
<key>Active</key>
<true/>
<key>BSD Name</key>

</plist>

Ram: 16 GB Crucial DDR3

Not that it matters, but wanted to throw my specs out there just in case it leads to something else. Correct drivers were installed from Multibeast, and still no audio, and the correct drivers are showing. I just want to get to Mountain Lion, and deal with the other issues later. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Also, I'm on 10.6.8 Snow Leopard. Mods, if this is in the wrong thread, please move it.

Anyone? Here are some more settings

You have used MultiBeast on Snow Leopard and Ivy Bridge?

I solved those errors by changing my network card, but this one is not actually working..
try to change the order of the ethernet card

I saw this posted somewhere and saved it for future reference, it may help :

Fixing "An unknown error has occurred" in 10 steps
If you are trying to install some new apps in AppStore and you get this error:
An unknown error has occurred
Here's the solution which will help you to resolve this issue.

1. Download EFI Studio
2. Open EFIStudio and select Ethernet, then Add Device. Click "Hex string to Clipboard".
3. Open org.chameleon.Boot.plist and add:

<key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>device-properties</key>
<string>_paste_your_value_</string>

4. Remove all network devices from System Preferences/Network.
5. Delete NetworkInterfaces.plist (sudo rm Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist)
7. Reboot.
8. Go to System Preferences/Network add devices. Click (Ethernet) first! Then you can add other adapters you use.
9. Check that this works.
10. Enjoy.

I tried that, and it didn't work. I ended up running ML in a virtual system, downloaded ML from the app store, and created a unibeast drive from there. When I installed mountain lion on the physical drive, everything except sound worked after installing multibeast. That's as far as I got though because my motherboard fried yesterday, and it's only 4 months old with factory settings, and ASRock doesn't provide any method of advanced exchange, so now I am going local to buy some type of replacement for the time being until I get the other back.
