noobie and new here
considering a 4530s Quad Core i7 with dual boot Win7-Lion

i thought it would be easier :)
all this seems quite complicated and half the stuff doesn't work
and needs tons of tweaking, etc

dedicated graphics seems to cause lots of "lines"
where HD3000 only, gives few lines
Atheros 9285 needed or wireless won't work
bluetooth only works with full start from "off"
hdmi may not work,
8gb ram update seems to be problematic

this is all scaring me a bit and has me wondering if
there a more "compatiable" Lion laptop out there that may have the same hardware components as does the MacBook Pros?
so that this is all a more straight forward process...

is this all to save some $$$ vs buying MAC, (just seems time is money..)
i'd love to spend $900 for the i7 Quad, 8gb ram, vs the $2,300 MBP
and see my MAC friends draw drop when my hackintosh outperforms their MBP

or most guys get a kick out of this hackintosh thing?

anyone have EVERYTHING working perfect on 4530s?
not sure whether to buy one
thoughts/ideas/concerns?

was also thinking maybe best to get 4530s, keeping Win 7 as is, just Win7
then use a test HD for all this hackintosh stuff as swapping out HD seems rather easy

HDMI works. Other then that basically true.

blueking

so best to get a Dell Inspiron 6000, on 10.5.8 ?? ;)

so it seems most 4530s use same graphics card (HD3000) and processors as Macs
why these graphics issues?

haha that laptop actually has artifacts as well. A good little laptop though :p

But its just weird. Like I have no problems.
