So i was thinking...

I have my G4 up and running
(http://www.tonymacx86.com/powermac-g4/91550-g4-graphite-matx-build-2013-a.html)
and i am having the time of my life! The thing is, the intel stock cooler is ruining my experience. I am therefore in the mood for a CPU cooler upgrade. I've been looking at the lowprofile Noctua nh-l9i. I think i am going with Noctua, as it seems to be the quietest choice. Well, since i am upgrading that, why not change my sidepanel fan aswell? So, im ordering a nf f12 from Noctua.

Now. The thing is, that temperatures are not the best right now. I know that the 2 fanupgrades will improve the setup, but where can i place additional fans? What does your setup look like?

In short, this is a thread for inspiration to other builders. Show your case, share your experience.

Hi Mathias!

To me, the two best choices are the Scythe Shuriken or the Noctua NH-L12 :)
I've chosen the NH-L12 for my G4 mod, the cool thing is that you can take the 12mm fan off and place it as a side fan. You still have the 90mm over the CPU, which is sufficient. My 4770k was running at 28°C (at idle) with just one fan. The other super cool thing, is that they are absolutely inaudible.
You can check my mod here if you like:

I've also added a 40mm noctua at the rear (actually, there is enough room for 3)

I've also placed a 60mm noctua at the top, for extraction, but you have to drill the case.
