It will work, I just tested a 8600 GT under 10.6.3 and it worked with no problems.

You'll be fine, the 8800 GT works excellently. I had one for a few weeks.

Confirmed working flawlessly with GraphicsEnabler only. No extra kexts needed, and all outputs are working. Full resolution switching, acceleration, mirroring, etc... In fact it wouldn't be a bad card to run 2 at once for 4 monitor setups. Would just need a DSDT edit.
