I followed this install guide (1st post) and I am currently running SL 10.6.7
http://www.hackint0sh.org/f217/116132-17.htm#post809157

However, it sounds like there are internet and slowness problems with 10.6.8 so I have not yet done the Software Update.

It seems that I need to do the upgrade in order to purchase Lion from the App Store.

What would you suggest as a road of action for my hackintosh in order to install Lion on it? Do the software update and pray for the best? (That I will indeed be able to have internet, click on Lion and download it from the App Store?)

Or is there a better way, such as doing a completely new and fresh install of Lion?

Thanks

I am running a GA-EP45UD3R-F12 with a quad CPU overclocked to 3.5GHz with 8GB memory. I really like the install method described in this article:
http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/lofive ... 59068.html
I used it for 10.7 GM and it's just been updated to 10.7 final.

After the install it just boots up and there are no wakeup reset problems, etc. Use MultiBeast to add features. And you end up with Lion on a bootable USB memory stick for future use.

Before building the USB memory stick I added the DSDT for my motherboad plus a couple of 64x kexts that enable the PS2 port for my beloved PS2 keyboard.

Does this installation method require SL 10.6.8 installed beforehand? If so, which install method did you use?

And is there a Lion install which can do it all by DVD or USB?

Thanks,

I get this message when I try to purchase OSX Lion in the app store:
"Your device or computer could not be verified. Contact support for assistance."

Any ideas?
Thanks
