Hello, if someone could please upload/make an SSDT with the multiplier x48 etc I would appreciate it. I just haven't had the time to sit down and attempt it, and frankly a little nervous of screwing it up.

Anyone? And yes my system stays cool and stable at 4.8.

Here you go.

It is the general i5/i7 Overclock ssdt from Multibeast with extra p-states included up to 5GHz.

If this works, I love you.

I'm curious, did it work?

Yes . But I spent 7 hours last night trying to get my rig stable @5GHz. I finally have it stable at just over 4.7Ghz. I had to pump more and more voltage into the core and my ram for only a few hundred megahertz, so the temps aren't worth it. My core is at 1.4 and ram is 1.6. I also believe my RAM is a limiting factor on the OC as well. Running MemTest86 off an Ubuntu live CD just to make sure RAM is stable.

Just because the SSDT had p-states up to 5GHz, that doesn't mean you had to try it!!!!

Anyway well done....

Thank you, again. I love you. ;)

And it was tempting, so I had to.

I had my core i5 at 4.7 ghz for a short time but the vcore had to be at least 1.4 or higher to remain stable. I'm using a gigabyte board though, I've been comfortable with 4.6 ghz and a vcore if 1.335 with line load at level 6. My ram is at 1.5v and my vtt is 1.2 as I am using a xmp profile for my ram settings.

When using this ssdt I was able to achieve x46 and a few lower ones but my idle will not drop below x20. My previous ssdt would idle at x16 but had nothing between x16 and x46.

Usually, I try to overclock the processor without changing memory or under clocking it, if processor speed is interacting (depend on chipset). Best for me to test is prime95 (mixed test for 1 hour). After, memory same test.
