First my specs:
ASUS P8H61-M (REV 3.0) LGA1155 H61 UEFI motherboard
Intel Core i3 -2100 Sandy Bridge 3.1 GHz LGA 1155 CPU
ATi X1900XTX 512 MB Video Card (not fully supported, but semi - it picks up my VRAM amount and supports 1440x900)
4 GB G.SKILL Ripjaws X DDR3 1333 PC10666 RAM
250 GB Western Digital SATA HDD
SATA DVD Burner

Mobo settings set to boot to disc 1st and AHCI, couldn't find HPET for 64-bit mode

I followed the Sandy Bridge install guide, but am still having trouble. What I did:

Booted with iBoot Legacy (new Sandy Bridge iBoot wouldn't work)
Formatted as HFS+ Journaled w/ GPT
Installed without any extras
Took out SL disc and put in iBoot Legacy, selected my install, it booted fine
Opened latest MultiBeast and 10.6.7 Combo Update
Installed Combo but didn't restart
Installed BridgeHelper
Went through MultiBeast and selected EasyBeast and System Utilities
Restarted, but it won't boot from hard drive
It will boot from iBoot Legacy just fine though

Has anyone had similar trouble and can suggest a solution? Thank you in advance for your help, and thank you Tony for all of your hard work, this is working far better than any other Leo or SnowLeo distribution I have tried.

Still need help please.

Please help.

Heres what I did:

Specs:

Mobo: ASUS P8H61M rev3
CPU: Core i52500
GFX: ATI 5770
RAM: 8GB Corsair

Method: Unibeast

Set up the motherboard the same way you did and tonymac recommends. (I think you have to go into Advanced mode under EFI in order to find HPET 64)

PLugged in the USB Unibeast installer and hit del to get to the EFI bios and then selected the USB as boot device from the boot menu.

Booted into Unibeast

Installed to the selected HDD (HFS Journaled)

Booted into the HDD via the Unibeast stick again.

Applied multibeast (used Easybeast and then selected the components roughly correct for the motherboard.

Rebooted:

Works fine.

No sound from onboard (Use USB soundcard a Cmedia chipset works and they are like 10 bucks)
GFX Correctly IDentified
Mine is a MacPro 3,1

Seems pretty damn stable to me.
