Hi,

I bought the recommended hardware:

Gigabyte Q77M-D2H
i5 3570K, 3.40 GHz, 6MB Cache, LGA1155
8GB Corsair Vengeance

I tried with the on board graphic card and the RADEON HD4870 with same result

1.) I boot with iBoot 3.3.0 (or chameleon 2.1)
2.) Start installing Mac OS X Snow Leopard
3.) After some boot messages the apple screen appears (white screen gray apple) --> AND THEN THE SYSTEM HANGS EMEDATLY! No more reaction
with chameleon 2.1 the first boot screen appears but when the second screen shouls appear the system hangs

Do I have to do some special BIOS settings? I loaded default setting and set xHCI Mode to Auto

PLEASE HELP!

You need to use the iBoot for Ivy Bridge CD to do this - you are aware that you will only install OSX Snow Leopard so that you can purchase and install Mountain Lion as your hardware - is only for ML not for Snow Leopard.

thanks for the quick response. the one hand these are good news on the other hand how do I get a Mountain Lion cd if Apple only offers this as an update?

You don't get a CD. You get an app. On a "real" Mac this app installs ML just as if it was on a CD. For the "PC"-Mac, you use this procedure http://www.tonymacx86.com/61-unibeast-install-os-x-mountain-lion-any-supported-intel-based-pc.html to do it.

Also, best if you copy the Install app to a data dvd/flash drive/back-up drive as soon as you download it. Then you will always have it when/if you need to re-install and you have used your flash drive for something else.
