Many thanks. Renamed SSDT Rebuilt cache Restarted HDMI is available within Sound>Output options, but no sound yet. System hangs a bit whenever a sound is playing. Rebuilt cache again then copied the log output (attached)

I must be misunderstanding your question. I'm sorry for the incovenience. I'm attaching the SSDT file I copied into Extra as well as boot log. Here are the steps I've taken so far: Created USB boot disk per the instructions here Installed 10.9.4 Ran Multibeast 6.4 to add support for ALC892...

Apologies. The SSDT file came from the audio_ssdt-hdmi-ami_hd5k-amd-nvidia-1_v2 folder. I thought I had followed the instructions in the problem reporting section. If I'm missing other specific info please let me know.

Ok. Thanks. I edited the chameleon boot plist to enable dropssdt and then rebuilt caches with DCPI. After a restart, I'm still not seeing HDMI as an output option. Latest iojones attached. FWIW -- HDMI audio was working fine in 10.9.1.

Great. Thanks again, Toleda. I'm having a separate problem now. Unfortunately, I upgraded to 10.9.2 without following this site's instructions. The machine is exhibiting some weird behavior -- only one of the HDMI ports is working and there is no audio available through the one functional...

I ran the process again and it semi-restored the sound output -- I can send out to the TV or to Airplay only. There are no sound input options to select. See attached screenshot along with iojones.

Thanks again for your help, Toleda. I recently lost HDMI audio. I believe it may be related to a recent update to 10.9.1. Can the fix you suggested be run again? Apply the patches, etc?

Thanks, Toleda. Attaching MB config, SDST and latest iojones. Still the same problem. HDMI output shows up in settings, but no sound is coming. Checked volume/mute settings. Any ideas?

Many thanks for these guides. I followed all the instructions, but still getting no sound out of my TV (HDMI). The HDMI device (Westinghouse TV) is recognized in the sound settings, but no sound. I installed 10.9 without a problem and then ran MultiBeast: DSDT Free Audio>Without DSDT>ALC892...
