Sleep wake not working GA Z87M-D3H

I have the same build (but with a GTX 760 2gb card) and the same issue - won't wake from sleep and I must hard reset. Here's my MultiBeast config: Quick Start > DSDT Free Drivers > Audio > Realtek ALCxxx > Without DSDT > ALC892Drivers > Audio >...

MaciASL will not patch on Z77x UP5 TH ML10.8.5

I've got the same issue (though different MB). For me when I click Compile I get errors and I suspect that is why the Patch button does nothing. I'm yet to find an answer for how to resolve these errors ...

Is a hackintosh reliable long term?

I get where you're coming from, but you've quoted the (my) original thread/post, so I'm not sure how I could hijack it.

Is a hackintosh reliable long term?

I haven't had time to fix up those issues. I've left my settings to never sleep, and haven't needed to use HDMI since my last post (though I will soon). This seems to be the fix for HMDI audio, so can't be too hard. So far the whole experience has been a lot less painful than I was expecting...

Is a hackintosh reliable long term?

I've taken the plunge and couldn't be happier. Overall in the install/setup process was quite simple, and I haven't really encountered any bit problems. I still need to get HDMI audio working, but there seem to be good guides for that.... And I have had issues waking from sleep, so I'll have to...

Is a hackintosh reliable long term?

It sounds like a hack with the right parts is relatively reliable and easy to maintain then. My selected parts are pretty much what's recommended, so I think I'm prepared to jump in the deep end here and have go. Thanks for your feedback

Is a hackintosh reliable long term?

Ok, so I found the updates section (I have no idea why I didn't stumble across it before now). The instructions there seem pretty straight forward. Still, I'm wondering if I should expect some issues and mucking around each time I update? Or am I going to be relatively "safe" by sticking to the...

Is a hackintosh reliable long term?

Thanks nobodynose and Goldie01, that's good to hear. How about updating software? Most of the resources and guides here (that I have found) relate to building a machine and installing OS X. Is there a guide or best practise for performing software updates? I could imagine with everyone...

Is a hackintosh reliable long term?

Hi guys, I'm seriously considering building my first hackintosh and am comparing it with the latest haswell i7 iMac. I've been reading through the forums here, and online in general, and it seems like a hackintosh can be relatively painless... but could go horribly wrong. I want this purchase...
