Since 10.6.8 Apple changed (again) the way used by AppleHDA.kext to inject the Audio chip information in the binary : it uses now a combination of layoutXX.xml and Platforms.xml. So just bin-patching the binary with a Legacy kext don't work anymore... But, if you copy the correct values in...
