No idea, but as far as I know, the only difference since last try ... this one ... is AppleHDA, CodecCommander and layout-id 3. But I can do the tests no problem, will just take some time.

I tried with only AppleHDA and with CodecCommander, both no output or input devices. I'm probably doing something wrong ... cause I think these worked with hot patching by Rehabman :| After I posted this, I noticed that I had no backup of CodecCommander so I went looking for the file in /L/E...

I get what you are saying, but no sound at all isn't workable, since I can't get back to your master branch which needs the original kext. I already started the install, shouldn't take long when everything goes well :angel:
