I managed to solve the issue in the weirdest way, been looking for a solution for days now and nothing worked. Turns our rebuilding the kextcache from terminal fixed the problem completely. Is there a difference between rebuilding caches in say "Kext Wizard" compared to doing so via terminal?

I have good news. I managed to get all of my SATA drives showing and install high sierra with basically everything working except wifi. I will use a USB wifi in the mean time.

Boot in safe mode, replace this kext with kext wizard. Repair permissions, reboot. Boot without -x and profit from full QE/CI on the 6970 :D
Kext attached. This works up until 10.9.1 as far as I know. 10.9.2 or greater might break support but I haven't tested this yet.
Very delayed replay. But I have found a solution for mavericks 10.9 and 10.9.1. Not sure about 10.10. Havent tested it yet. If you qte wtill looking for a solution let me know. I can provide you with the fixed kexts.
