    [SUCCESS] Draven's First Hackintosh: i5-3570K | Asus M5E | HD4000 | Mountain Lion 10.8.3

Another MVE Success... Thanks Draven for posting the excellent guide. I just bought a slightly used rig from someone with the following config: Asus Maximus V Extreme 16gb 1866 DDR3 Corsair Vengeance 3770k Corsair H110i eVGA GTX Titan Superclocked Build up a Unibeast thumb from a...

    {GREAT SUCCESS} - Yo Mang's Hack Pro - 3930K / GTX670 / Sabertooth X79 (56k Warn!)

For anyone with worries over the new CAP bios, I can definitely confirm as others have that all is still well with this build and the latest/greatest bios: 3203. VoodooTSCSync.kext does the trick. I'm still hoping that full X79 support will come soon, would be nice to have full...

    {GREAT SUCCESS} - Yo Mang's Hack Pro - 3930K / GTX670 / Sabertooth X79 (56k Warn!)

Very nice, congrats! A couple months into this build now and I have had absolutely no issues.. not a single kernel panic, crash or hiccup. Naturally no sleep/speedstep and that seems to have me loosing a bit of performance in OS X vs Win 7, but not too worried about it. That said, we'll see...

    {GREAT SUCCESS} - Yo Mang's Hack Pro - 3930K / GTX670 / Sabertooth X79 (56k Warn!)

    {GREAT SUCCESS} - Yo Mang's Hack Pro - 3930K / GTX670 / Sabertooth X79 (56k Warn!)

Sound working Ok, I've FINALLY figured out the sound issue. The bottom line is that the new MultiBeast 5.1.2 is missing options that are necessary to get the sound working properly. As seen in the original post, you need to be able to select: Audio/Realtek ALC8xxx/Unified Device...

    {GREAT SUCCESS} - Yo Mang's Hack Pro - 3930K / GTX670 / Sabertooth X79 (56k Warn!)

Now that my build is solid I decided to start the overclocking task and after much experimenting and tweaking, I've landed on a solid 4.2 Ghz OC. 4.4 was stable with a bit more voltage (currently at 1.275 for 4.2) but I always like to run 200 Mhz below that very edge, keep the temps in line...

    {GREAT SUCCESS} - Yo Mang's Hack Pro - 3930K / GTX670 / Sabertooth X79 (56k Warn!)

Yo Mang (and everyone else who has contributed to this thread), thank you for taking the time to post this. I've just put together pretty much the same build besides the case. Almost there, have full boot with no commands needed (everything 'injected' etc..), full performance, geekbench shot...
